It offers a room with a double bed or 2 single beds, a kitchenette equipped with cutlery, cups, microwave, refrigerator and tea kettle and a bathroom with shower and hair dryer. No breakfast is included in the Pestana Casino Studios ( no onsite restaurant) ; there is is reduced price for breakfast at the adjacent Pestana Casino Hotel., which we took advantage of a few times. Because the studios have a small kitchen area, we generally made our own breakfasts. There's a small corner store close by on the hill below which is quite adequate, or we brought in food from the grocery store or market. Plus there's a great choice of restaurants nearby. The front desk staff were excellent; welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. It was great have their friendly service. Thank you ladies! Plus the cleaning staff were good; we were appreciative of their daily services. . Our few requests were dealt with promptly.; e.g. adding a hot water kettle in the kitchen area, removing a fold up cot that we didn't require. We reserved for a month's stay, which was a bit cheaper for a long stay. We didn't rent a car, so we mainly walked around, plus took an occasional taxi/tour, or the local bus. The local parks and gardens are superb. There's lots to explore! And we enjoyed the music venues, too.

The location is perfect for exploring Funchal. Not far from the city center and the ocean, however, the weather was not good for swimming, so I am not sure if that beach is suitable enough for that. The hotel is near the bus stop, so it's easy to get there. The room is not so big, but for one person it was perfect. I think it will work for a couple as well. The view from the room is amazing. Also, there was an option to use swimming pools, sauna, and hammam in the hotel building nearby, which belongs to the same hotel group. The team is very friendly and helpful.

One of best location in Funchal, few steps from center. Only nice walk through beautiful garden down the hill and you are right there. Lot of restaurants around, and special offers for the guests of the studios on bars and restaurants at 5* Pestana Casino Garden sister hotel next door. You can also use all the facilities there with no restrictions. Very clean big rooms and xtra good shower. Yes we hear the traffic on the balcony at our room, but you are next to center so that is what we exspected.

Nice hotel room, with good facilities, in a good location with many stores and restaurants closeby. The staff is friendly and helpful and the views from the room quite lovely. The bathroom is also well equipped. We enjoyed the sun on the balcony. We also loved the view from the rooftop of the sister hotel (Pestana Casino park), where we had access to the pool. We didn't swim, as it was 20 degrees, but the view was lovely, especially before sunset.

Beds were super comfy however it would have been nice to have the option to choose a queen/king instead of the two single pushed together. We were quite happy to hear that we were able to use all the pool and breakfast facilities at the Main hotel next door.
